Christmas Market Production Workshops
By: Anna Smyth
On Thursday evenings during prep leading up to the Christmas market there are production workshops.
I had a go with bracelet making. With only a few pieces of thread and a loom, it was possible to make neat, tight bracelets. There was also badge making going on at the same time. I was making ornamental snowmen. For making the snow men I had to tie wood slices together. Whilst I was tying them together a wood burner was heating up. This was used to make the buttons and details in the facial features. As we were making the items a few girls decided to put on some music. Fittingly the music was Christmas music. This really helped set the mood as we were working for the Christmas market. It also created a relaxed atmosphere. Making the items in the Thursday evenings was highly enjoyable, great fun and very productive!
